The jerseys were created with input from fans, the NBA and players like Rudy Gay and O J Mayo. It is 3 Shades of Blue sincere hope that these alternative jerseys will replace the old ABA uniforms that has been the bain of Memphis fans. Not only does it remind old timers like me of another example of a team failing in Memphis but it also hasn't been very productive for the current Grizzlies squad. I can't remember the team ever winning a game in the Pros uniforms. So bring in the new and bury the old. The Memphis Grizzlies should be the one and only name on our uniform and the failures of the past should be forgotten. I like the idea of using the neon lights effect in the design of the uniform too. And if Rudy and O J are behind it then it can't be all bad either! As for the open practice held at MUS there isn't much to report. It was more of a fashion show than a true workout although the scrimmage was exciting ending in a 47-47 tie. The white team consisted of starters Rudy Gay, O J Mayo, Zach Randolph, Mike Conley and Marc Gasol along with Mike Taylor and Hamed Haddadi. The Blue team consisted of Marcus Williams, Sam Young, DeMarre Carroll, Steven Hunter, Leon Rogers and Trey Guilder. |

The Grizzlies have new alternate jerseys and the players appear to like them as do most fans. The alternate jerseys involved a metallic looking baby blue shade with the traditional Beale St Blue and yellow stripe going down the side.
