Coming into the game at 2-5, the Grizzlies added another win to their preseason record after beating the Charlotte Bobcats 95-92. Zach Randolph played well in his first year with Memphis, having 16 points and eight rebounds. DeMarre Carroll pretty much saved the game when he tied the game with 13 seconds left on a breathtaking layup. Former Pittsburgh star Sam Young added 13 points to the team's victory. With point guard Allen Iverson injured, the Grizzlies lost another man from that spot with Mike Conley spraining his ankle. Iverson attended the game but didn't play and says it's a long-shot of him playing in the season-opener against the Detroit Pistons. Iverson says he doesn't feel any pain but fears that he might pop his hamstring again. The Grizzlies also outbounded Charlotte by eleven rebounds, 48-37. DeMarre Carroll played an amazing game, having 18 points and eight rebounds, leading the Grizzlies. O.J. Mayo led the team with five assists. Hasheem Thabeet didn't play well, as he was one-of-four and threw down Gerald Wallace for a foul. Also, something very awkward happened in the game as well, according to the Associated Press: "The replacement officials called 43 fouls and produced one laugh when Nick Buchart told upset Bobcats coach Larry Brown, "I'm sorry Mr. Brown." Buchart later hit Memphis forward Rudy Gay with a technical foul after he argued he was fouled." Overall, it was a well-fought game by Memphis. And if they continue to play well, a win against Detroit will be a piece-of-cake. |

Thabeet gets his average points again, 2! We can only hope now that he will be
half as good as Shawn Bradley.
