Well, Hasheem Thabeet has played 6 games in the D-League. So what is the take after 6? Is this it for Thabeet in the D-League? According to one source, Thabeet would be assigned to the Dakota Wizards for 6 games. He has played six games averaging about 31 mins and almost 14 points a game. One thing I notice is that he was inconsistent in his performance. Of course, some of that is because of the team he plays with is made up of varying degrees of inconsistent abilities.  But, Thabeet still must improve a lot to make it in the NBA. So, the project continues. You need to evaluate the stats of Thabeet in the D-League for yourself. Also, how is he doing compared to Haddadi's time in the D-League So check the stats out below. If Thabeet stays in the D-League, here are Dakota's next games.
Thabeet's worse game was his 4th game on 3 March where shot of 1 of 9 and had only 10 rebs in 30 mins. He had only on foul in that game. It would seem that he was very non-aggressive in that game. But, aggressiveness does not seem to fit Thabeet at this time. His FG% went down over the 6 games, while his FT% was decent. As for his rebounding, I don't understand how he didn't dominant the boards more. In his game yesterday he only got 1 Of Rebs and 7 Def Rbs. while shooting 50%. How is Thabeet doing compared to Haddadi in the D-League. The chart with the graph below shows that Thabeet did a little better in FG% than Hamed See for yourself.

Thabeets gotten a short end of the stick this season. I don't blame Hollins that much for it, it's just the circumstances. If the Grizzlies were a lottery team like last year and the year before etc etc, Thabeet would have time to grow, make mistakes, learn and gain experience. Because the Grizz are trying to win, Hollins has the bench on a very short leash and hasn't much patience with them. Rookies make mistakes, they need to be allowed to make mistakes at first. But it's hard when your trying to win.
Giving Marc Gasol more shots and giving Thabeet more minutes to learn are conflicting ideologies. It's not easy. I liked seeing Thabeet and Gasol on the court together at times this season, Thabeet can change shots, Gasol is no slouch on defense and can also take a more offensive role. But then you play that lineup much and your jipping ZBo.
So it's not easy to be Hollins or Grizz coaching staff.
