5-game-set perspective on the season.

4 impressive badly need wins made this the first 5-game-set with a 4-1 record since January 18.  As I said last week this set of teams had a winning percentage of 0.469 and .561 if you take out the NJ game.  Of course, capping off the set with a blow-out win over the Celtics mad this a great week.

The next 5 game set should be another 4 wins and even 5 if the Grizzlies can chomp down hard on the Nuggets and take a little of their golden play away from them.  Denver and Houston are presently the only team with a winning.  The average winning percentage of the next 5 teams 0.457.  With 4 games at home Memphis should better their 19-14 home record.

Looking further ahead, the next 3 roads games are Houston, Sacramento and Golden State.  These are 3 very winnable games for the Griz.  They could up their road record to over 500.

Check out the 5-game-set schedule below.

The teams playoff chances now hinge on how well they perform on back-to-back games. The upcoming five game set has two B2B's, so we should know soon enough if the team has truly turned the corner.

Whatever happens, there is at least 5-10 games they should have won this season. Fix those next year, and making the playoffs will be a given, it'll be about home court and about worrying who the matchup will be.

I don't think any team has stabbed themselves in the foot as much as Memphis has this season, but here they are still battling there way into a chance for a playoff berth.
